Healthy, Home-made Gluten Free Granola Recipe

 This recipe is utterly delicious and it’s so simple to make! You can tailor it by adding your favourite dried fruits, seeds and nuts. It’s easy to make nut free by excluding the almonds. The recipe uses rapeseed oil, a good source of unsaturated fat and only a little sugar by addition of honey and maple syrup.


- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
– 3 tbsp maple syrup
– 2 tbsp honey
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 200g Bob’s Red Mill gluten free rolled oats
– 100g Bob’s Red Mill gluten free quick cook oats
– 40g sunflower seed
– 40g pumpkin seeds
– 2 tbsp sesame seeds
– 100g flaked almond
– 50g raisins
– 25g dried cherries
– 25g sultanas
Bob’s Red Mill have a varied range of gluten free oats, including traditional rolled oats & quick cook oats. Check out the range at Ocado, Holland and Barrett and Amazon.
1.Mix the oil, honey and maple syrup in a large bowl. Add the oats, almonds and seeds. Mix well.
2.Lay on two baking trays, bake at 150oC for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, carefully add the dried fruit and return to the oven for a further 10minutes.
3.Remove from the oven when lightly golden in colour. Allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.
4.Serve with milk, yoghurt, or even on ice-cream!
